The Henna Narrative is a design illustrative book consisting of new ideas inspired from traditional henna designs. It gives us an understanding on its background and how can transform old to new. It was initiated with an aspiration to encourage fellow henna artist and art enthusiasts to expand or pick up this form of art as a new skill. The designs I’ve done are a fusion of Indian, Moroccan, Indo-Arabic and Gulf combinations to craft henna in different point of view.

The Henna Narrative is the first Henna Book published and supported by The National Heritage Board in Singapore.
The book was collaborated with a belief that it would create an outflow of creativity, hitting a new generation with a wave of inspiration to express their ideas and themselves using henna as a platform. This volume is more than a few mere designs put together. It is a story enriched with deep history, a story with long upheld traditions, a story of passion and creativity. Each design was thought of and drawn meticulously being inspired by my travel journeys and architecture. It is hoped that this story will not just end here but will serve as a reminder to all on how art is able to transcend all cultures.
